RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for handling routine and advanced/complex PC/laptop problem and service request tickets for end-users. Technician has intermediate level PC/laptop hardware and software knowledge and skills in a client/server environment. Responsible for troubleshooting Level 1 (routine) network, server, PC/laptop, and computer peripheral device problem tickets and providing resolution or escalating to Level 2, as appropriate. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving Level 1 (routine) and Level 2 (advanced/complex) PC/laptop and computer peripheral device problem tickets, both at the Technology Support Center Desk (over the phone) and in the field (at the end-users desktop). Responsible for Level 1 (routine) operational processes, tasks, and service request tickets such as software and hardware installation, account administration, computer-related equipment check-out/check-in, Video Teleconferencing (VTC) setup/operation, tape backup, etc. Performs technology hardware and software project inventory & ensures logistical & documentation accountability.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 

Candidate must have 2 years experience as Desktop Technician and 1 year experience with Customer Service. Preferred experience with Windows 2003 and Windows XP. Education Level: Computer Science Associate degree.
