RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This position will support the Fabrication Business Unit in Auburn by applying knowledge of engineering data, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and machine control languages in order to plan, create and revise inspection machine-control data and associated inspection plans. Candidate will create and revise measuring programs and/or computer generated solid models and produce multiple types of inspection media (e.g. for Coordinate Measuring Machine programs, tailored inspection models and Mylar inspection media). Candidate will create and/or validate machine-control data, inspection point coordinates data, analysis and documentation.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 

Prefer candidate to be fluent in PC DMIS programming language and have a working knowledge of advanced GD&T principals. CATIA V4, CATIA V5 and ENOVIA experience also required. Familiarities with Microsoft Office products are desirable. Experience and a clear understanding of the Quality System and Quality Assurance processes are required. Candidate must have the ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information. The work is technically challenging and subject to compressed schedules. Candidate must be flexible and creative in working solutions to unusual circumstances and challenges. Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal guidance or management A good work ethic and ability to stay on task in an independent working environment are critical. Prefer 4-year technical degree plus 4 years' NC programming, coordinate measurement, or machine operator experience, or 6 years' NC programming, coordinate measurement, or machine operator experience.
