RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, prepares variance analyses and quantifies cost and/or schedule risk for management action in support of critical avionics software engineering projects. Works closely with organizational and project leadership to manage all business aspects of projects. Reconciles data from multiple sources and performs general support of financial and/or resource forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EACs). Performs recurring tasks such as identifying, coordinating and establishing cost collection structure. Reconciles data discrepancies and corrects errors. Extracts data and compiles routine performance reports. Works under general supervision. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: General knowledge of budgeting tools (e.g., cost benefit analysis, estimates-at-completion). General knowledge of principles of forecast analysis. This may include, rates, resource staffing, long range business plan, estimates at complete (EAC), company accounting, customer payment schedules, and contractual requirements to develop and maintain forecasts. Ability to build effective working relationships with work group members, supervisors, and members of others work groups. Has experience in the creation of simple project schedules identifying time frames for key project milestones. Has skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the workgroup level. Has general knowledge of organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation. Has general knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics). Has general knowledge of the interaction between departments/ disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business). Has ability to gather, retain, and recall a variety of facts and data in written and/or verbal form for the achievement of work tasks and duties.
