RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a project representative for various divisions and departments. Work together with other team members in a multi-project environment. Identify project objectives and requirements, develop project plans and deliverables, lead and direct all project phases and act as primary customer contact on multiple, cross-organizational projects. Ensure completion of project objectives, direct status reporting, assemble recommendations from project team and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Lead negotiations with project participants and stakeholders on significant project issues. Research lessons learned, best practices, risk assessments, trend and earned value analysis as a foundation for base-line plans. Review and implement metrics and project control systems, integrate project information and advise decision makers; consolidate information to understand project impacts and develop appropriate schedules and risk mitigation plans. Develop mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating project elements, product configuration and communication regarding change management process and decisions. Develop and present project transition plans to cross-functional audiences, close out projects and conduct in-depth analysis resulting in lesson. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Project Management Theory/Concept: Extensive and specialized knowledge of Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g. theory of constraints, critical path methodology, project risk management, triple constraints, project scope management, project management lifecycle etc.) contained in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ® Guide). Customer Focus: Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of ones actions as a project team leader; develops and sustains productive customer relationships as they relate to project team leadership responsibilities; actively seeks information to understand customers' circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs; presents project level information to customers to build their understanding of issues and capabilities; considers how project level actions or plans will affect customers; responds quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems; assists other project team leaders in implementing ways to monitor and evaluate customer concerns, issues, and satisfaction and to anticipate customer needs. Building A Successful Team: Ensures that the purpose and importance of the team are clarified (e.g., team has a clear charter or mission statement); guides the setting of specific and measurable team goals and objectives. Helps to clarify roles and responsibilities of team members; helps ensure that necessary steering, review, or support functions are in place.
