RESPONSIBILITIES: Join the Everett Program Planning & Control (PP&C) organization. Our mission is to enable the successful delivery of Commercial Airplane (BCA) projects and programs. Serve as a PP&C team member for the 747-8 derivative program, developing integrated schedules and engineering lead level plans. Work together with other team members in a multi-project environment. Interview project participants to define and document sequence and duration of project tasks. Gather, compile and report information on project deliverables; provide project status and change reports; Utilize negotiation skills to improve performance commitments. Define metrics plans and conducts research to collect metrics and identify lessons learned. Gather information for standard reports and charts (e.g., resource usage, schedule compliance, etc.); identify, assign and track action items and coordinates project activity and status reporting. Assist with project transition plan and schedule and perform lessons learned analysis. You will work under general supervision. You are expected to work to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers and help to define project requirements in your area of specialty. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Project Management Theory/Concept: General knowledge of Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g. theory of constraints, critical path methodology, project risk management, triple constraints, project scope management, project management lifecycle etc.) contained in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK (r) Guide). Collaboration: Generally works effectively and cooperatively with work group members, direct supervisor, and occasionally members of others work groups; establishes and maintains good working relationships by helping people feel valued, appreciated, and included in discussions. Places higher priority on team and/or organization goals than on own goals. Normally offers to help work group members, direct supervisor, and occasionally members of others work groups when they need assistance. Communication: Generally clarifies purpose and importance; stresses major points; follows a logical sequence. Usually keeps the audience engaged through use of techniques such as analogies, illustrations, humor, an appealing style, body language, and voice inflection. Frames the message in line with audience experience, background, and expectations; uses terms, examples, and analogies that are meaningful to the audience. Customer Focus: Considers customers and their needs when performing and/or working with others on routine tasks; supports others and occasionally becomes directly involved.
