RESPONSIBILITIES: Supporting 747-8 and possibly other programs. Will develop complex repair dispositions of high impact requiring innovation and a wide range of aircraft technical knowledge. Requires guidance from senior engineers on highly complex issues. Makes preliminary design proposals to complex engineering issues. Works with technical designers in the development of design solutions. Routinely expresses intent of design where define data is unclear. Interfaces with customers, manufacturing, quality and suppliers to clarify engineering data or customer requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Requires good communication and conflict resolution skills. Prior engineering MRB authority or equivalent required. Structures, payloads and systems knowledge and experience highly desired. Ability to work all shifts and overtime is required. Support manufacturing 24/7. Requires a BS degree in engineering and typically a minimum of 8 years' experience in an engineering classification. BS mechanical engineering, civil engineering and aerospace engineering preferred. Other engineering degrees will be considered depended upon structures, composites, and systems knowledge and experience. Enovia and V5 experience is considered desirable. EDUCATION: A 4 year Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology degree. Our preferred degree disciplines are Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical.
