Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - Level 2 for an opening in Dallas, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Tactical Missiles Advanced Programs (TMAP) area design effort. The candidate will work and support the lead design engineer to conduct integration activities, impact to the system, required sub-system/component modifications, and impacts to system performance studies. Tasks assigned may include generation of Interface Control Drawings (ICD), generation of Instructional Engineering Release (IER), creation of solid models and drawings, and performing tolerance analyses. Tasks will include conceptual and detail design of missile integration concept components, systems, and subsystems, and creation of 3D solid models and 2D drawings. Effort will require coordination of design(s) with other mechanical / electrical disciplines, familiarity with missile to aircraft integration concepts, and tolerance analysis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Candidate should have a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or 10 years of equivalent experience, and 6-8 years of Computer Aided Design software experience using PRO Engineer / CREO 3. Candidate must be capable of creating and interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings, knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and experience with manufacturing engineering and fabrication processes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Candidate should have a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or 10 years of equivalent experience, and 6-8 years of Computer Aided Design software experience using PRO Engineer / CREO 3. Candidate must be capable of creating and interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings, knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and experience with manufacturing engineering and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is desired.

Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
9/80, 1st Shift, Full-Time
