Description: Chipton Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Caledonia, MI.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
o Provides engineering support for quality initiatives, new product development initiatives, production problem solving, and Value Improvement Projects (VIP)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Process owner responsible for providing technical expertise and support related to manufacturing
o Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
o Performs data collection for analyzing VIP's and manufacturing process efficiency
o Researches the development of equipment performance goals and standards
o Researches, analyzes and recommends methods and processes to improve safety, cycle time, labor hours, scrap, product quality and output
o Completes required documents needed in closing Corrective Actions, Engineering Change Orders, and Customer Complaints
o Troubleshoots and assists in repairing fixtures and equipment used in manufacturing
o Performs project responsibilities as assigned for process changes, improvements and implementation of new product manufacturing processes
o Researches, plans and recommends new tools, equipment, fixtures and methods including costs and cost estimates for process changes, improvements and implementation of new product manufacturing processes
o Develops and conducts test protocols and reports for equipment qualification and process validation
o Prepares proper documentation for processes related to equipment, maintenance, and other relevant procedures
o Partners with Quality team to address and resolve manufacturing or product quality issues

REQUIREMENTS:
o Regulated industry experience that includes FDA and ISO requirements preferred
o Able to develop technical solutions to complex technical problems where analysis of situations or data require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
o Able to apply ingenuity and creativity regularly in order to develop the proper solution
o Aware of cultural difference that may exists in business and technical practices and applies them effectively in global interactions and projects
o Successfully network with key contacts outside own area of expertise
o Ability to lead projects within a multi-functional team with proven verbal and written communication skills
o Familiarity with the methods of Risk Management and FMEA's preferred
o Teamwork, communication, positive attitude required to support the manufacturing environment
o Problem Solving - able to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
o Project Management - able to effectively manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously
o Experience in 3D modeling, Solidworks preferred
o Computer Skills - Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
o Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or closely related 4 year Technical degree is required with 2 or more years of
