Description:
Summary: Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in the plant; responds to manufacturing issues and concerns to insure products are produced to specifications and according to manufacturing schedules while insuring efficient use of resources. Manufacturing Engineer reports to Engineering Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing
production schedules; estimating future requirements
Creates new part numbers based on customer specifications and established standards and adds new parts into the part
master file of the MRP system.
Establishes bills of material and manufacturing routings
Creates assembly instructions for new products to be manufactured
Conducts Root Cause/Corrective Action on problems and issues in the Manufacturing process
Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and
evaluating results.
Set plant layout & production process flow
Assist in the design and procurement of production tools and equipment
?Establish standard operating procedures
Qualifications
Possess an Associate’s Degree in an Engineering
displine or equivalent level of experience in aerospace 
manufacturing  
Willingness to travel domestically 

Required Skills
Proficient in CAD Software, preferably CATIA 
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite 
Can affectively read and interpret Drawings, parts lists 
Written/Presentation Skills – Can properly articulate status and solutions to team and customers 
Project Management Skills - Coordinates projects via scheduling; Communicates changes and progress; 
Completes projects on time and budget.
