Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking an RF Project Engineer (2) for an opening in Mason, OH.

The Project Engineer, RF position involves the technical leadership and oversight of the analysis, design, development, test & evaluation of RF/Microwave circuits that support launch vehicle and satellite communications and control systems. Responsibilities include detailed RF/Microwave hardware circuit level design, system engineering and requires management of new and existing hardware products. Individual will be responsible for the design, analysis, and test of RF circuits, as well as leading a multi-disciplined engineering team. Recent experience with modulators, amplifiers, oscillators, filters, high frequency packaging and RF test equipment, as well as team leadership experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o A passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of circuit level electronic equipment and systems, and the ability to further advance client technology
o Being responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project to meet technical, schedule and design to cost goals
o Design test and troubleshooting abilities related to RF/Microwave circuit hardware and receiver/transmitter systems
o Performing technical analysis/feasibility for new product specifications, evaluate customer specifications and support cost/technical proposal generation
o Effectiveness in project management through resource planning, personnel oversight, and cost/schedule tracking
o Interfacing effectively with people at all levels and from diverse technical backgrounds
o Performing as the technical point of contact for customers
o Providing leadership to small groups or teams and guidance to less experienced staff members
o Strong verbal and written communication skills through the preparation and presentation of design reviews, proposals and program status
o Previous experience as a control account manager (CAM) in an EVMS environment is desired
o Understanding of RF radios and digital communication theory with proven history of BER, EVM performance analysis and System Noise Figure/Gain/Compression calculations.
o Knowledge of digital communications systems including but not limited to modulation types such as QAM, PSK, APSK, TDMA

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Solid proficiencies in microwave circuit and system design and analysis tools, hands-on results are necessary
o Prior experience with design, analysis, and testing of RF Microwave circuits
o Recent experience with modulators, amplifiers, oscillators, filters, high frequency packaging and RF test equipment
o A background in project engineering and high-reliability environments is required
o Demonstrated leadership and project engineering/management experience
o Excellent verbal communication, writing and organizational skills
o Ability to characterize and analyze RF Communication system performance.
o Derive RF and digital hardware level requirements from RF communications system level requirements
o Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time; both domestic and International travel is required
o Typical work related travel assignments range 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.

EDUCATION:
o BSEE in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer

WORK HOURS:
9/80, 1st Shift, Full-Time
