RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Website Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals' .This position is supporting the USPS ETS contract in Washington, DC at L'Enfant Plaza. The desired candidate will provide website development support for the United States Postal Service Corporate Communications Online Solutions group.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Develop internet/intranet/extranet applications to present USPS to employees and the outside world and to provide USPS easy access to other Internet services - USPS.com (internet); Blue (intranet); LiteBlue.usps.gov (extranet) and KeepingPosted.org (internet).
o Required to produce designs that engage the target user through interactive features, photos, graphics and logical navigation systems. The designs must adhere to USPS requirements and industry best practices.
Note: Candidate will need to submit examples of work.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience with website development and supporting business needs/requirements gathering or equivalent training and experience.
Advanced development skills in in HTML, CSS, PHP, JS.
Ability to write HTML, CSS, PHP, JS from scratch.
Ability to create and edit PHP code.
Strong knowledge of the inner-workings and methodology of WordPress, careful use of plugins and WP themes.
The ability to develop a WordPress theme from scratch.
Work independently and able to manage own projects with little supervision.
Attention to detail and approaches work with initiative and a high sense of urgency.
A willingness to engage with people to understand situations and solve problems.
Experience with a variety of CMS platforms and with standardizing deployment practices.
The individual will be expected to work independently or semi-independently with a minimum of guidance or direction.
Preferred skills:
Skilled in MySQL, CSS3, SASS and HTML5, jQuery, AngularJS.
Development experience with desktop and mobile displays.
Knowledge of WordPress / PHP security vulnerabilities.
Familiarity with Adobe suite products such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
Familiarity with Bootstrap and other web grid systems.

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline is required.

HOURS:
5/40 workweek.
