- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Precision Rotating Components for an opening in Park City, UT.
-Creating process planning and manufacturing instructions, including sketch sheets for high speed spur gears, bevel gears and shafts
-Designing tools and fixtures, investigating root cause of rejections that occur during the manufacturing and assembly of precision rotating parts and other components
-Determining possible corrective actions to resolve the problem and eliminate repeat occurrences
-The Manufacturing Engineer will have the authority to make decisions on and implement appropriate corrective / preventative action.
-This employee shall also be required to perform other tasks on occasion including but not limited to auditing processes, manufacturing support, inspecting hardware, travel, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
-3 years manufacturing and process planning experience with carburized precision rotating parts
-Strong analytical skills
-Precision shaft manufacturing and inspection knowledge
-Familiarity with basic precision measuring tools
-Working knowledge of GD&T
-Basic Computer Skills: proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel etc.
-Capable of effectively reading blueprints and specifications
-Three years 3D modeling experience. Preferably with Pro Engineer/Creo
-Gear, 4 and 5 Axis Housing manufacturing and
process planning experience a plus
-Familiarity with aerospace standards and FAA regulations a plus
-Bachelors of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or 5 years' experience
