Seeking a Senior Microsoft Exchange Analyst, to join our IT Technology Services team of highly qualified, diverse individuals, and take on projects critical to the growth and success of the company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Responsible for planning, implementing, configuring, maintaining, and problem resolution for email based applications and supporting infrastructure.
o Will work closely with Technical and Business Managers, as well as with their peers to provide lifecycle support of email based applications.
o Enforces compliance of policies, procedures and work instructions; perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, incident and problem management, change and configuration management, and service level performance.
o Installs and configures new and current email based applications.
o Responds to technical queries.
o Handles software rationalization and lifecycle management.
o Performs routine monitoring and audits of systems.
o Deploys applications and services related to creation of mailboxes, mailbox databases, SMTP connectors, email retention policies, email address policies, email domains, data loss prevention, email content scanning and filtering, certificate management, email hygiene and email application health.
o Handles application maintenance and troubleshooting.
o Coordinates implementation of application patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
o Responsible for system monitoring and performance tuning, business continuity, disaster recovery planning and testing, and configuration documentation.
o Handles analysis of system, application and audit logs, and identification of potential issues
o Responsible for system integrity, backup, and recovery.
o Responsible for server application builds, configuration, and transition to production.
o Provide 24x7 security application support.
Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
Discretion/Latitude: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Impact: Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Liaison: Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
5 Years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
o Experienced with server and desktop email based applications Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 and 2016, Microsoft Outlook 2013, Outlook Web App, Trend Micro and IMSVA.
o Proficiency in multiple email management tools and applications (preferably in a large enterprise supporting more than 10,000 users).
o Proficiency with some or all of the following: Active Directory, DNS and networking, Kerberos, Claims Authentication, Certificate Based Authentication, Internet Information Services, Digital Certificate Management, Role Based Access Control and VMWare virtualization technologies.
o Proficiency in SMTP routing and working with secure email gateways and appliances.
o Experience with identifying and resolving issues across multiple environments (Linux, Windows, VMware)
o Proficiency with Microsoft System Center 2012, understanding management packs, configuration and interpretations of alerts, and configuration of overrides.
o Proficient in server email based applications; design, backup, and recovery; as well as knowledgeable of implementing, patching, and upgrading of applications
o Knowledge of application change management through the various states of the lifecycle
o Knowledge of computer security techniques
o Experienced with scripting proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell
o Certifications in Microsoft Exchange Server, Windows Server and other associated fields of study, highly desirable (MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, etc.)
Bachelors in Science, Masters or PhD is required.
Shift: 7:00am- 3:330pm or 7:30am- 4:00pm; 5/40 workweek
