- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Radar Algorithms Engineer for an opening in Orlando, FL.
Responsible for the modeling, design specification, simulation and testing of RF systems for use in tactical military radar systems.
• Primarily responsible for electrical design task including but not limited to:
o System level requirements analysis
o System level modeling
o Generation of system specifications
o System interface definition
o RF system simulation
o Component specifications
• Simulate and Test RF circuits and functions
o 10+ years experience of design, modeling and testing RF circuits
o In-depth working knowledge of MATLAB, MATLAB RF Toolbox, MATLAB Simulink, RF simulation and Modeling
o Working knowledge of RF system considerations such as RF cascade and noise figures analysis.
o Working knowledge of radar signal processing
o Proficient with Microsoft Office products
o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
o BS in Electrical Engineering
o Experience with the following design tools: Altium, HFSS, Microwave Office and MATLAB
o Hands on experience debugging RF circuits using RF test equipment including, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters and oscilloscopes.
o Hands on experience with PLL based Homodyne Transceivers
o Hands on experience with Direct Conversion Transceivers
o Hands on experience with high-speed DAC’s and ADC’s
