- Seeking Sensors and Systems Technicians to join its Assembly team within the Manufacturing organization. These positions are located in Linthicum, Maryland.
The Sensors and Systems Technician will perform a variety of simple to complex tasks involving testing, operating, trouble-shooting calibrating, constructing, repairing and assembly over a broad spectrum of technologies, utilizing manual and automatic equipment, Utilize and create repair techniques, assembly techniques and procedures. Other tasks to be performed include: collecting, recording, analyzing and evaluating data and recommending changes in processing operations and equipment as appropriate.
" Test technician, testing assemblies for radar systems.
" RF testing
" Verifying that the assemblies meet the requirements of the drawings.
" Troubleshooting down to the component level
" Assisting engineering in creating designs and design changes
" Will be involved in test set ups, systems and device repair of faulty areas
" Will be using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, O-scopes
" Minimum of an associate's degree in electronics. Bachelor's in electronics is acceptable. Must have a minimum of 60 credits.
" If they don't have an AA degree, they can have 6 months of military training in electronics.
" Must submit either academic transcripts or military documents (DD-214, Joint Service Transcript, SMART transcript, or VMET) showing that they meet the education/training requirement.
Minimum of an associate's degree in electronics. Bachelor's in electronics is acceptable.
Electrical engineering typically isn't accepted.
" If they don't have an AA degree, they can have 6 months of military training in electronics. Typical occupations in the military that would meet this would be (*** indicates the most ideal):
o Electronics Technicians/ US Navy "A" school or Radar "C" school***
o Avionics Technicians/ Aviation Electronics Techs***
o Sonar Technicians
o Ground Radio Operators/Repairman
o Air traffic control tech
" Multiple shifts available-2nd (3:30 PM -Midnight), 3rd (11PM-7:30 AM), 4th (Friday-Sunday 7AM-7PM) and 5th (Friday-Sunday 7PM-7AM). Candidates must be able to work one of these shifts.
" Paid OT, 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x on Sun.
" Shift differential for working 2nd or 3rd shift.
" Must be comfortable being a part of a union
" Candidates must pass a technician test prior to interviewing. Candidates should have knowledge of these topics.
" Test is administered at our BWI site in Linthicum, MD where the position is located. It starts at 8 AM and goes until 3 PM. If they pass, they will interview with the hiring manager right after the test.
" For non-local candidates, client will coordinate their travel and cover the expenses.
" Our next test dates are 3/1, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29
