- Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 (four) Electronics Technician Maintenance II in Eglin AFB, FL.
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II, maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced knowledge to solve problems by interpreting manufactures' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationship of circuits and judgement in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required from supervisor or higher-level technician. Required experience includes a minimum of 6 years inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft avionics and electrical systems (GAC, COM/NAV, EW, Sensors, Electro Environmental, Aircraft electrician). The candidate must have experience installing aircraft modifications to include fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components, avionics boxes and chassis' using common and specialized and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings. Successful candidates should also possess experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harness; or any variety of electrical components, and equipment associated with aircraft systems functionality. Additional task are required, and include but not limited to: HAZMAT/HAZWASTE handing, corrosion control, inspection and repair, maybe part of an aircraft tow team.
Familiar with CON/NAV, EW, Sensor, Electro Environmental, on C-130 or CV22 aircraft.
