- " Perform assembly and test tasks on wire harnesses, control boxes, and electromechanical assemblies per written procedures and drawings.
" Mechanical / electrical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis
" Perform verifications of flight hardware and documenting results in a clear, precise and complete manner
" Work with and provide input to the development and manufacturing engineers to improve part manufacturability
" Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness
" Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment and the use of such equipment
" Constantly learn new things-and share them with your team members
" Performs other duties as assigned
" Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing
" Working knowledge of Avionics systems and their operation and the proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems
" Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems a plus
" Strong mathematical, basic computer, problem solving and decision making skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
" Experience with EMI / EMC / RF testing
" Experience with thermal vacuum testing
" Experience with shock testing
" Experience with LabVIEW, Python or other test and scripting languages
" Experience working with National Instruments, or comparable lab equipment
" Experience building wire harnesses including terminating and installing connectors. Ability to travel to test and launch site in Mojave
" Passion for space exploration and a firm belief in the utility of affordable access to space
1 opening will be for 1st shift (7am-2:30pm) and the other 2nd shift (1 of each). 2nd shift is 2-10:30pm.
