Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a FPGA Engineer for an opening in Orlando, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Firmware Design/Verification Engineer with experience in full life cycle development for Avionics DO-254 Firmware and digital design systems. Requirements through integration of HDL coded FPGA devices. Providing technical contributions and guidance on embedded DO-254 process compliance, developing DO-254 project planning documents and Hardware Life Cycle artifacts. Developing verification technical solutions, approaches and levels of effort estimates.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Experience with UVM/OVM, constrained random testing, o Experience with hierarchical simulation and verification frameworks with emphasis on reusability and scalability o Experience with System On a Chip (SOC) and FPGA architecture, design, and development (VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog), associated tools (Vivado, Libero, Xilinx ISE, etc.), and IP Cores o Familiar with DO-254 DAL A/B Design Assurance concepts and methods such as Functional Failure Path Analysis (FFPA), Elemental Analysis, and/or Formal Methods o Excellent scripting and automation skills. Perl, bash shell, python and TCL desired

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
o 3 years of relevant embedded Avionics or similar Safety Critical experience
oExperience with Configuration Management (CM) and Change Control concepts and tools (DOORS, Subversion, Mantis, Jira, etc.)
o Experience working with Functional Requirements and defining Requirement Based Tests (NOTE: testing based solely upon requirements)
o Experience performing HDL Synthesis/Simulation (eg. ModelSim/Questa, Synplicity, etc.)
o Familiarity with DO-254 design analyses (Instantiation, Pin, Timing, etc.) and IP compliance strategies
o Experience designing portable, scalable Test Bench for testing

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

9/80, 1st Shift
Full-Time
