Description


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to set up and operate a variety of numerically controlled machine tools such as milling machines or fiber placement machines, to make parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Able to read blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; able to use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School/GED plus 9 months of machinist experience working in a mid-to-high level production machining environment or certificate completion in machining technologies at a trade school such as NTMA or other.
Must possess knowledge and experience operating multiple pneumatic machine types and ability to read, translate and follow shop floor engineering documents, requirements and work instructions.
Ability to use various inspection tools and techniques.

EDUCATION:
High School/GED.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek. Candidates must be willing to work any shift or work schedule.
