Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an A/C Skin Burnisher for an opening in Hawthorne, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Burnish and hand finish to requirements all scratches, mars and blemishes on aircraft skin surfaces after skins have been assembled on partially or fully completed aircraft.
Assist with the Burnishing and hand finishing to requirements all scratches, mars and blemishes on aircraft skin surfaces after skins have been assembled on partially or fully completed aircraft at the direction and assistance of more senior burnishers, leads, supervisors. Perform seal operations as needed at the direction and assistance of more senior burnishers, leads, supervisors. Use hand and power tools, acids, bleaches and thinners to restore affected skin areas to uniform grain and color status at the direction and assistance of more senior burnishers, leads, supervisors. Use burnishing tools, tampico brushes and power rotor at direction and assistance of more senior burnishers, leads, supervisors. Burnish and hand finish aircraft sheet stock or fabricated skins at direction and assistance of more senior burnishers, leads, supervisors. Rack and move parts and materials as directed. Occasionally may be required to do assembly type operations supporting drilling, riveting, shipping, etc. at direction and assistance of more senior burnishers, leads, supervisors. Reports to the supervisors of Final Line as assigned. Maintains good quality & performance at all times while maintaining good attendance and teamwork.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Ability to pass & hold necessary certifications for sealing & burnishing of aircraft assemblies.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

Full-Time
