Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge in acquisition and contract management. This position grants authority to initiate, negotiate, execute, and manage contracts for complex products and services and high-dollar value procurements that require a great deal of oversight and risk management. Candidates must possess a clear understanding of, and compliance with Company procedures and Government procurement guidelines, including FAR and DFAR, as well as familiarity with SAP. Frequent interaction with suppliers and stakeholders is expected.

Candidates should be capable of working independently and must demonstrate leadership attributes and willingness to train, develop, mentor, and maintain engagement among team members. Candidates should be able to prepare and deliver presentations to all levels of management.

Candidates should have global knowledge through experience/education in tactical and strategic supply chain operations and applying critical thinking and analytical skills.

Previous DoD procurement experience is a plus. Exposure and/or experience in other areas of the supply chain value stream are a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience. Master’s Degree and 1 year of experience. An Apprentice Certificate or graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.

Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.

Bachelor's degree in Business or Business related discipline, or Masters.
