The Quality Inspector is responsible to verify and validate electronic and mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems to meet engineering and program requirements. Visually and physically inspect installations and recheck work after adjustment or repair. Will monitor and verify product quality in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and other control procedures. Maintains necessary inspection documentation, writes inspection reports, and enters inspection data and defect information into a computer database. The inspector will participate in team activities and will lend expertise and guidance to help solve problems.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical trade school or military technical school training preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in the inspection of electrical, mechanical fabricated parts, cables, and assemblies utilizing complex engineering drawings & documentation.
Computer Expertise (Office/Excel).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications are a must.
Must have good communication skills; frequent contact with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations.
Good computer skills are necessary.
Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
The inspector should have the ability to audit processes and activities in accordance with documented procedures.
5 years electro/mechanical Inspection experience in a military product environment.
SAP MRP/ERP Expertise
IPC-610 Solder/Workmanship Certified
IPC-620 Cable Certified
ISO-9001 or AS9100 Auditing experience
Experience using all types of measuring tools such as: Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Depth Gauge.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Technical trade school or military technical school training preferred.
