Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Component Product Engineer (Electric Propulsion) for an opening in Redmond, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
60% - Lead technical activities on major programs. Perform tasks, delegate tasks and make decisions required to design, analyze, build and test electrical propulsion thrusters and thruster systems. Verify Aerojet Rocketdyne's products are in compliance with customer requirements. Demonstrate to our customers that Aerojet Rocketdyne is the best value supplier for their propulsion needs.
15% - Lead investigations or technical studies to closure rapidly and rigorously, applying appropriate resources and personnel in a cost-effective manner. Accumulate, prepare and present the documentation that is required to close an effort, including reports, Test Procedures and Work Instructions.
15% - Support proposal activities and manage internal research and development efforts as assigned.
10% - Active mentoring of less experienced personnel. Cultivate an existing knowledge base and build on it to serve as a resource to Aerojet Rocketyne and our customers for design, test and implementation of thrusters and propulsion systems.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong verbal, written, presentation and team-working skills a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) expected.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Priority will be given to candidates with demonstrated engineering leadership experience in a production environment developing and improving products and manufacturing processes.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline and 9 years of experience, preferably in electric propulsion, plasma devices or mission-critical technology. A Master's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline or Physics is preferred.
