Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist I for an opening in Grand Island, NY.

Applying knowledge of Biochemistry/Organic Chemistry/Cell Biology/ Biotechnology or Biomedical engineering to support improvement of the data integrity for raw materials and supplier database. Work with feasibility team and cross functional teams to establish necessary raw materials, documentation and updates.
To work with feasibility, procurement and quality in updating a database to support the customer and the business. Understanding of the processes, software and chemicals that are part of the database.
Has contact with many levels of company employees. Works with cross-functional teams to design and customize products to meet customer requirements.

Works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Capability and skills to apply an attention to detail for reviewing specifications for chemical raw materials and work cross functionally with multiple teams.

Accredited Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology/Biomedical engineering, or other related discipline with the equivalent knowledge and experience OR requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in a work environment with an Associate’s degree.
