Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler/Insulator/Lagger (2) for an opening in Goose Creek, SC.
Performs a variety of tasks in production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Works from diagrams and drawings and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Performs Navy shipboard lagging (hot and cold) on pipes and pipe sections of various shapes and diameters.
Laggers will apply insulation and covering to both hot and cold pipes. Candidates must have Must have Navy shipboard lagging experience (hot and cold).
•Secondary education in a technical school preferred
•Must have strong mechanical abilities
•Must have Navy shipboard lagging experience (hot and cold)
•Minimum 3 years experience in reading and understanding blueprints, drawings and work instructions
•Work history with mechanical assemblies
•Minimum 3 years experience with hand tools and measuring equipment
•Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
•Must be able to work in confined spaces for long periods
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
9/80, Day Shift, should be prepared to work OT as needed
