Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Operator II for an opening in Pleasanton, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform molecular cloning and PCR reactions.Gel electrophoresis and purification. Use highly specialized equipment and instrumentation in daily manufacturing.Calibrate instruments as needed and complete necessary documentation.Make buffers, gels, and media as needed to support manufacturing functions. Working efficiently individually and in multiple teams to accomplish manufacturing goals. Execute Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Perform duties within the corporate EH&S Standards.Required to lift up to 30 lbs. and may be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Address and report to supervisor any problems in daily manufacturing and propose effective countermeasures. Periodically review and discuss your priorities with supervisor. Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure on-time delivery. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisor.Achieve high productivity by reliable and punctual attendance. Responsible for the completion of all tasks assigned daily (working overtime may be required). Must be able to work safely with materials and equipment.Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience gained through a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Science or other related field or equivalent knowledge with 0-2 years of experience preferred
Experience in Molecular Biology, or biotechnology is a plus.
EDUCATION:
Accredited AA and 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment at a minimum
