This position is supporting the Northrop Grumman Office of Inspector General contract in Rosslyn, VA.
Serves as primary administrator for all servers to include application, file and printer server
Operating Systems as well as Active Directory which includes Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure and virtualized environments (both server and desktop).
Responsible for administration of Microsoft Servers consisting of Server 2008R2 and Server 2012R2, Active Directory, file and print services to include account maintenance of OIG forest.
Coordinates all maintenance activities including testing and scheduling for maintenance weekends including ensuring that all change records have been approved prior to maintenance events.
Develops mitigation strategies when vulnerabilities cannot be remediated
Coordinates with IT security for review and acts on any directed changes.
Develops and submits change requests and tracks to completion for software upgrades and patches.
Develops technical architecture documentation that details procedures for installation, maintenance, security, configuration, and disaster recovery.
Recommends enterprise upgrades, changes, or enhancements.
Responds to events and incidents with possible security architecture or negative user experience impacts; takes necessary corrective actions promptly.

Bachelor's degree in related field with 8+ years of IT relevant experience or more years of experience in lieu of degree.
Knowledge of and experience administering Microsoft Windows environment including information security principles, concepts, practices, systems software, database software, and immediate access storage technology to carry out activities relating to security certification and accreditation.
Ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical Windows and software updates and vulnerability issues.
Ability to assess risk factors and vulnerabilities to recommend mitigation strategies.
Ability to ensure coordination and/or collaboration on upgrade activities.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with management and other technical specialists.
Ability to plan, organize and manage tasks on time with minimal supervision.
Implementing and Administering a Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 Directory Services Infrastructure.
Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 Network.
Must possess ability to successfully implement hardening of the server infrastructure in appropriate server roles.
Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 Network Infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP technologies on Windows.
Experience with server monitoring tools.
Thorough understanding of Active Directory DC design, Schema, OU design, AD replication topology, and DC backup/restore procedures.
Excellent working knowledge of DNS, GPO's, Message tracking and performance.
Desired Requirements:
MCSE certification.

Bachelor's degree in related field.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields is preferred.
