Chipton Ross is seeking a QC Technician in Eugene, OR.

Job Summary:
The Eugene campus of TFS supports the Molecular Probes® fluorescent reagent product line, among the most peer-referenced reagents in all of life science research. Trusted product brands including Alexa Fluor™, SYTOX™ and Click-iT™ empower scientists working in cell biology, genetic analysis, protein biology, and cell engineering to make the discoveries that advance our understanding today and catalyze the research goals of tomorrow.

The candidate will assist in a short-term for QC Validation I project essential to the Manufacturing and Quality functions in the organization. The candidate will coordinate and perform stability studies, analytical testing, and functional testing of various fluorescent reagents. The candidate will document results and assist with report-writing as required. Cross-training may be required within other departments at the site.

Strong laboratory and technical skills, familiarity with common laboratory instrumentation (e.g. spectrophotometers, plate readers, chromatography systems, and microscopes), the ability to analyze data critically, as well as a working knowledge of statistical analysis are required.
The candidate should have experience in a laboratory setting, with a working knowledge of routine chemistry laboratory equipment. The candidate will be highly motivated, can work both independently and in teams, and will demonstrate strong organizational skills, good laboratory practices, and good documentation skills. Strong oral and written presentation skills are highly desired.

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics or other related discipline, or equivalent lab experience.

First Shift, full time.
