Chipton Ross is seeking a Sr. Textile Engineer in Skaneateles Falls, NY.

Job Summary:
As part of a Liko R&D team, the Sr. Textile Engineer owns the detail level design of Liko's sling product portfolio, as well as contributing to other soft goods design activities across the business unit. This includes managing and executing design engineering projects that increase customer satisfaction by improving overall product quality and field performance; increase product margin through design optimization, while maintaining product quality and performance. He/She works at a senior position and ensures that the projects progress in the defined manner. With his/her expert knowledge, the senior engineer also provides guidance to other engineers to help solve their technical issues, engages in design reviews and help resolve the most complex problems. Additionally, this position will participate in portfolio innovation activities such as brainstorming, hackathons and innovation challenges.

Responsibilities:
- Acts as a senior resource and mentor to others
- Applies technical competencies to problems with significant complexity
- Makes difficult design trade-offs and decisions about features, schedule, quality and cost
- Determines tasks that are required for a project and accepts responsibility for project outcome
- Contributes as a technical reviewer in areas of expertise
- Proactively determines measures and standards of success for project, product, and process quality within project teams
- Seeks the optimal technology solutions to problems from internal and external options, and applies appropriate methodology to identify issues/concerns
- Challenges established work processes and proactively finds creative solutions
- Communicates accurately, succinctly and with purpose up, down and across the organization through written and verbal communication
- Creates an environment of innovation and exploration

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in a technical role
- Experience with soft goods construction
- Technical experience working with load bearing soft goods design
- Familiarity with textile testing standards and procedures, domestic and international
- Understanding of different stitch types and their properties
- Knowledge of fabric types and constructions

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
