- Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Equipment & Tool Engineer 3's located in New Orleans, LA
Space Launch Systems: Evaluates program and project requirements, develops and fit checks complex tooling hardware and helps design solutions for the Production System. Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling. Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. Must understand the operation of 3D printers in the development of molds required to apply Thermal Protection systems over flight hardware to ensure the safety of the vehicle. Conducts fit checks with those molds and coordinates with design engineering for needed revisions or changes. Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware and documentation.
Accredited Degree preferred and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
