- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Fabrication Associate for an opening in Ayer, MA.
Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks associated with the development, manufacture, or repair of products.
Duties include, but are not limited to, fabrication of a wide variety of metal housings, frames and/or parts working from raw stock and materials, troubleshooting, basic repair & servicing of equipment used. May perform Painting, finished and cleaning operations. May be required to setup and adjustment holding tolerances to specifications. May analyze results, implement problem solving and/or develop specifications and procedures. May prepare reports and recommend solutions to technical problems May float & work in other departments. Responsible for all duties as assigned within the parameters of the skill level assigned to and required by the department on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to resolve problems and make recommendations. Requires 3 yrs. of related production or mechanical experience. Requires reading, writing & math skills & the ability to work from established drawings. Able to repair/adjust equipment needed to perform assigned tasks. Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments Minimal supervision required
