Seeking a high-potential candidate to join a talented software team as a Software Quality Engineer.
Your main role would be to implement quality strategies/systems and develop initiatives to improve work processes. You'd perform internal audits on our process across the entire software development lifecycle, develop corrective action plans for non-conforming work processes, integrate process measures, metrics and associated data into an oversight strategy, develop management briefs on quality, performance metrics, quality issues, and continuous improvement, and maintain the organization's measurement program. Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
Discretion/Latitude: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Impact: Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Liaison: Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Must have 5 Years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
5+ years' experience leading Quality Assurance activities.
Certification in Lean or Six Sigma quality engineering methodologies preferred.
Experience with scripting languages such as C++, Visual Basic, Ruby, Shell and PERL preferred.
Experience with database development in MS SQL, MS Access preferred.
Experience with planning, executing, and documenting hardware & software design/test program preferred.
Experience with collaborative software project tools such as Microsoft TFS, Rationale ClearCase/ClearQuest, DOORS, Subversion, CVS preferred.
Experience with software design (CASE) toolsets such as UML preferred.
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies (CMMI, IEEE 12207 etc.) preferred.
Experience of Software Development Life Cycles (both traditional (waterfall, iterative, spiral, etc.) and agile experience relevant).
Bachelors in Science, Masters, or PhD is required.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
