Reviews specifications and drawings to extract ordering data which is applied to the Newport News part number ordering information.
Reviews supplier submitted drawings, first article, shock, and vibration reports to ensure they meet the contract requirements.
Resolves supplier submitted requests for information.
Position requires interface with Engineering Design depts., SUPSHIP-NN, Strategic Sourcing, and NNS suppliers to resolve issues associated with procurement of material for Navy ships.
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
Manager is looking for an individual who is organized, have good communication and good leadership.
Candidate will be sitting down reviewing engineering paperwork to make sure they are accurate.
Candidate must have the willingness to learn different computer programs (manager is not looking for a programmer).
Nuclear experience is a plus.
Candidate must have Associates in engineering field (candidate with Associates in IT or holds Bachelor's degree will be rejected by the manager).

AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline is required.

5/40 workweek

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
