- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist I for an opening in Fremont, CA .
Provide customers with unique solutions for their QC needs
Executes on custom product development projects with fast turnaround time, including project costing, scoping, raw material ordering and manufacturing
Manage multiple projects in parallel
This position is 50% hands on in the laboratory and 50% project management
Provides innovative ideas for new products and intellectual property
Actively participates as a member of cross-functional product development teams
Work closely with the sales team
Good documentation skills
Strong Molecular Biology skills
2+ years experience in industry
Strong communication and presentation skills are essential
Has a passion for problem solving and outside-the-box thinking
Is extremely organized and driven to complete projects efficiently
Must be highly collaborative; have the ability to work within a diverse team and contribute to a supportive, positive work environment both within the team and in the greater community
Self-motivated, independent, and a proactive driving force of execution
Able to adapt to changing needs caused by time, budget, or other constraints
Preferred to be trained in GLP/GMP and GDP
Previous experience working with customers would be a distinct advantage
Previous experience working with infectious and serology assays or controls
Accredited Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology / Genetics / Biochemistry / Cell Biology or equivalent
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
