- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Level 3 for an opening in Lexington, KY.
The candidate researches, plans, designs, and integrates mechanical products and systems using 3-D modeling techniques and mechanical engineering standard practices, with which the candidate must be proficient. The successful candidate will have demonstrated design and drafting experience, proficiency with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and demonstrated business sense. The candidate will be in frequent written and verbal communication with design and project management. The position requires performing design in support of aircraft systems integration efforts with minimal supervision. You will develop component and system designs based on customer requirements and interface control documents. Your designs will comply with applicable military specifications, SAE, ANSI, ASME, and other related design and drafting standards.
Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA or similar tool. Experience with Teamcenter or similar PDM/PLM software tool. Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation. Experience creating and checking ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings. Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Previous success working in a team based environment to meet objectives. Strong communication and presentation skills.

DesiredFamiliarity with U/MH-60, C/MH-47, A/MH-6, or other military aircraft Experience working in an aerospace design environment with exposure to DoD customers
