Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Equipment & Tool Engineer 3 located in Auburn, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the investigation and development of equipment and tooling concepts and specifications (e.g., trade studies, prototypes, sketches, models, simulations, requirements). Investigates moderately complex design solutions, collects and incorporates design requirements, identifies long lead time material needs and sources, creates and revises drawings, models, equipment and tool usage instructions to support the build plan. Prepares moderately complex models, drawings and construction documents. Identifies material needs and sources. Possesses and applies knowledge of Additive Manufacturing principles, practices, and procedures to concepts, planning, design, and build of machines and product test equipment. Independently analyzes and verifies highly complex engineering designs and supplier data and ensures compliance with safety, productivity, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements. Maintains configuration control of engineering change to requirements/definitions. Conducts feasibility and trade studies, creates models, sketches, prototypes, and simulations, and conducts design reviews to refine and mature concepts for transition to detail equipment and tooling definition. Interacts frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers. Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Applies project management skills to equipment installation and communications with suppliers. Researches, promotes, and provides technical solutions and new ideas that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization’s objectives.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
