Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Technical Design 2 located in Kennedy Space Center, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Uses 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Manufacturing tools, to develop and maintain mechanical/structural engineering products, environments and trade studies. Prepares design layouts and modifies existing designs to satisfy customer requirements. Assists with the use of 3D laser scanning equipment used for creating as-built and models of large structures and platforms. Develops statements of work, including design requirements, cost and schedule estimates. Contributes to the integration of engineering models across client and NASA customers to provide a functional end-product. Ability to Lead a project and work under low supervision, ability to multitask and ability to work well within a team environment. Mentors less experienced personnel. Works under general direction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
CAD - Not Required - Intermediate
CATIA V5 - Not Required - Intermediate
CAD - Not Required - Intermediate

EDUCATION:
Accredited AA or BS degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
8::00 AM - 4:30 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
