- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Director of Certification for an opening in Reno, NV.
Director of Certification who can build and lead a stellar certification team to develop and certify the Client business jet (and it's future derivatives) per the requirements of FAA CFR Part 25. This position will be responsible for all certification efforts and be the primary interface between the FAA and EASA.
Responsible for successful development and execution of Client’s certification and continued airworthiness strategy.
Hire and develop a world-class certification team.
Serve as the primary point of contact between Client and the FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authorities.
Lead the certification team in development of the PSP, PSCP, issue papers, and other certification documents.
Develop and implement certification processes and establish Client’s delegated organization.
Minimum of 10 years direct experience in certification of new Part 25 aircraft types is required.
3+ years of experience managing Integrated Product Teams.
Must have experience on new 14 CFR 25 certification programs or equivalent experience with/within the FAA approving new 14 CFR 25 aircraft.
3+ years of experience developing and leading ODA organizations and developing procedures for a Part 25 OEM is highly desirable.
Must have expert-level understanding of FAR 25 and FAR 36 certification requirements and procedures.
Experience in working with and negotiating with Government certification agencies.
Strong communication and organization skills with a proven track record of getting things done with certification authorities.
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field is required.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
