- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Human Factors Lead Engineer for an opening in Reno, NV.
Develop human engineering design, architecture and product plan, including certification plans
Provide subject matter expert level technical leadership, mentoring and guidance on both practical and theoretical aspects of human engineering
Define requirements for the human factor’s engineering to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements
Provide validation and verification of human engineering requirements
Perform human engineering tests and certification, and provide system and certification documentation
Manage the Human Factors scheduling,budget, resources and suppliers
Report status to ensure milestones are met in support of the overall program schedule
10+ years of deep, hands-on experience in Human Factor’s development with military, commercial and/or business jet aircraft
3+ years of demonstrated experience leading technical resources and teams, both internally and externally, as well as both on-site and off-site
In-depth and current knowledge of Part 25 regulatory requirements
Experience and expertise in the development of commercial and/or high-end business jets strongly desired
Must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding, knowledge and ability to define requirements, generate architecture and achieve compliance
Strong customer focus with experience in a global environment working with customers and suppliers
Strong/proven problem-solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets
Strategic leader with very strong decision making and communication skills
Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid professional relationships with subordinates, peers, and management
Ability to drive accountability appropriately within the organization
Experience with Microsoft Office software
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering position. Master’s degree in a technical and/or management specialty preferred
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
