Chipton Ross is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for an opening in Walton, KY.

Responsible to source, establish, maintain and develop long term supplier relationships for all aspects of the sourcing, procurement, supporting inventory control management, coordination with suppliers for a stable and quality supply chain is maintained to meet company's strategic initiatives. Establishing, negotiating, and maintaining Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with Preferred suppliers to meet supplier performance, costs goals, aligned with commodity strategy; Develops commodity strategy, leads supplier selections, by gathering inputs with key stakeholders; Use of LEAN tools such as pull replenishment, level scheduling and economic order quantities (EOQ), visual management and KanBans, in a continually improving manner that minimizes inventory expenses; Establishes KanBan and JIT (Just-In-Time) systems and agreements with suppliers to streamline supply chain delivery and inventory levels to achieve the lowest cost and highest turns; Reduction in supplier base while developing long-term alliances with chosen core suppliers; Gains knowledge and understanding of all assigned commodities, including appropriate manufacturing processes; Coordinates with, and support the Supplier Development Team in selecting, preparing and developing long term suppliers to establish productive relationships that facilitate an efficient production order process and overall supply chain to create an accurate and stable flowing process of materials to support business needs; Adheres to and look at ways to enhance policies and procedures (such as RFP, RFQ, Negotiations Checklist and improved Statement of Work (SOW)) to accurately procure raw, in-process and finish goods; Establishes working relationships with senior management at key, preferred suppliers and hold supplier performance reviews, including key stakeholders from other functions.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in purchasing, operations or supply chain, in a manufacturing environment.
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others

Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred: Advanced Degree and/or certifications.

1st Shift, 5/40

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
