Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for an opening in Camden, AR.

The Assembler classifications perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive to complete the assembly of mechanical and/or electronic products of the Company. These positions assemble, disassemble, modify, reassemble, repair and package component parts, sub-assemblies, precision assemblies and/or completed units according to specifications, diagrams and drawings; fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; uses hand and/or power tools such as saws, lathes, mixers, grinders, welders and various measuring instruments; performs soldering operations, installs wiring, conducts pressure tests, bonds and packages parts related to rocket motor assembly/injectors or inert materials; maintains records for manufactured products; coordinates movement of parts/assemblies within the Assembly areas, Test facilities and Shipping/Receiving departments; cleans tools, parts and work area; operates and troubleshoots production line machinery; may perform minor repairs as necessary; maintains adequate supplies/tools in assigned area(s) of responsibility to prevent schedule delays; may participate in coordination activities to ensure that wastes from process operations are collected, containerized and labeled in accordance with all applicable environmental regulations. Oven Checks and Conditioning Box Checks.

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills

• Basic computer skills

• Preventive maintenance of assigned equipment and tools

• Hand tools and power tools

• Assembly and production processes, and manufacturing capabilities

• Occupational hazards, calibration requirements, and standard safety practices of the trade

• Some positions may require specialized training and/or certification

Accredited High School Diploma/GED

7 days on, 7 days off, 6am-6pm, may possibly need night shift of 6pm-6am

MISCELLANEOUS: Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
