Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Pinellas Park, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
1-2 years of sheet metal assembly or any sheet metal experience. Previous experience as an Assembler and/or Aircraft Structures Mechanic is highly preferred. Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels, to work in teams or independently, and communicate effectively with co-workers or supervisory staff. Mathematical ability to perform and/or understand calculations used in assigned areas. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data. Competently uses computers and systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of operations to manufacture, assemble and/or refurbish aircraft parts and structures such as F-16 canopies, F-35 canopies, and C-130 sub-assembly components. Assemblies can require controlled tooling as well as build-to-print processes. Tasks include aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures, part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working. Measures parts to verify dimensions. Modifies incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and perform repairs. Works from blueprint diagrams, drawings, specifications, and shop orders. Monitors and verifies quality and develops corrective action. Performs other duties as assigned.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Aircraft structure experience on F-16, C-130, or F-35 platforms is a bonus.

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
2nd Shift
You will train on 1st shift for 2-3 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
