Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Manufacturing Engineers for a contract opportunity in Syracuse, NY.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is required.
At least 1 year of hands-on industrial or manufacturing experience (internships acceptable).
Must be a U.S. Citizen and cannot hold dual citizenship.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
Incorporates inspection and test requirements into production plans.
Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
Initiates corrective actions for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Ensures processes and procedures are compliant with regulations.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and takes initiative on projects.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
Green Belt certification and/or Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

WORK HOURS:
5/40 work schedule
schedule (Mon-Thu: 9 hrs/day, Fri: 4 hrs)


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
