Chipton-Ross is seeking a Conference Support Specialist for a contract opportunity in Crystal City, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
High school diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years of experience in hospitality, events, or customer service
Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support catering operations by picking up lobby deliveries, setting up food service, and supervising larger events with 75+ attendees, including cleanup
Serve as backup for daily coffee service including brewing coffee, preparing tea and ice water, and replenishing supplies throughout the day
Assist with conference room setup, including 5-foot round tables, modular table configurations, registration tables, lecterns, and chairs for events up to 200 people
Maintain accurate inventory of beverage service supplies and notify appropriate staff when items are low
Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and organized
Participate in daily setup coordination calls
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in a professional office or event support setting
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited HSD/GED
WORK HOURS:
Part-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Every other Friday off (9x80 schedule)
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
