Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design Engineer for a hybrid contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
This position requires the contractor to be onsite 50% of the time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
5 years of experience with CREO
5 years of mechanical or electromechanical design experience
1 year of Windchill experience
Experience creating 3D models, CCAs, harnesses, and cables
Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Knowledge of optical physics and precision machining
Ability to create and deliver design review presentations
Coordination with documentation and packaging teams

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform detailed mechanical design and drafting of test stations and design changes
Model vibration and thermal test fixtures
Develop CAD designs using CREO
Support design reviews and technical documentation
Interface with packaging and documentation groups
Support mechanical COE (Center of Excellence) projects for test engineering

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Zuken experience preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift (Monday-Thursday)


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
