Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Strong background in cable inspections and manufacturing processes
Experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables per IPC-A-620
Willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks as needed
Detail-oriented and proficient in interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, and work instructions
Proficient with personal computers and modern applications
Must be able to read/write English
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect in-process and completed subassemblies and communication racks using various measuring devices
Work from blueprints, diagrams, inspection instructions, and checklists
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units
May monitor and verify quality per statistical process control procedures
Communicate effectively with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management when resolving quality issues
May assist in assembly tasks related to inspection areas
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-A-620
Experience with blueprint reading and visual inspection
Knowledge of wire harness print reading
Basic computer operation, SharePoint access, and email functionality
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED
WORK HOURS:
4/10 - 1st Shift (Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM EST)
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
