- Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 Equipment & Tool Engineer 1's for a contract opportunity in Auburn, WA.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
o Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.
o Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
o Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
o Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability.
o Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
o Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques.
o Experience in automation and robotics.
o Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Long hours on feet.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
ADDITIONAL:
Duration: 12 mo., possible extension.

OT/DOT expected: Yes, 10-20% Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
