Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Aide for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum 3 years of fabrication experience (including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design products)
Prior certification in solder and harness to MIL-STD requirements
Experience building electrical equipment from blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft products and software tools
Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabricate electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies per engineering drawings
Perform soldering of components on circuit cards and sub-assemblies
Assemble wiring harnesses including pinning, de-pinning, and applying hardware
Build up lower-level assemblies into single or multi-bay cabinets for delivery
Use computer-based programs to update job status, quality inspections, and engineering changes
Collaborate with engineers, other fabricators, draftsmen, procurement, and quality inspectors
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Associate's Degree
Solder certifications to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
Experience procuring and acquiring test materials



REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED

WORK HOURS:
4/10 work schedule
1st Shift


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
