Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in harness building.
Must have hands-on experience with Cable Harness Assembly, including crimping, soldering, and inserting contacts into connectors.
Experience reading engineering schematics and working to IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cable Harness Assembler will build harnesses to wiring diagrams, form boards, and follow written instructions from mechanical engineering, in addition to reading drawing schematics. Tasks include production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies such as modules, boards, panels, frames, and cables. Responsibilities also include continuity checks, conducting in-process quality inspections, and rework of prototype assemblies as needed. Assemblers will use hand and/or power tools, jigs, saws, and must be able to work to Class 3 IPC standards.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited HSD/GED

WORK HOURS:
Monday through Thursday, 10 hours/day (4/10 schedule)


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
