Chipton-Ross is seeking 8 Flight Readiness Technician/Inspector (Level C) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o REQUIRED: FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or signed FAA Form 8610-2.
o 3+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing e xperience.
o 3+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing.
o 3+ years of flight line operations experience.
o 3+ years of experience in a team environment.
o 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Flight Readiness Technicians Inspectors verify and inspect rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, supporting troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and verification of maintenance and modification actions for delivery of aircraft. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to aircraft safety and quality while working in a flight line environment around live aircraft. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
o Performs verification and inspection of flight component installation and operational functional testing of aircraft systems.
o Inspects and verifies troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or faults and documents faulty components.
o Conducts inspection of pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification prior to delivery.
o Supports documentation of identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct
o Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance inspections in preparation for delivery.
o Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.
o Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead.
o Inspects, documents, and creates non-conformance records with minimal assistance.
o Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.
o Exhibits client Behaviors.
HARD REQUIREMENT:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 787 Program Experience.
oForeign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience.
oTeam Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.
o Proficient in REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications.
o Proficient in all forms of NCR (Non-Conformance Record) and EPD (Emergent Process Document) generation (NC/NCR/RGEN/PU/SAT/SRR/PU or RGEN Revision etc.).
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
WORK HOURS:
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Willing and able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.
